Who we are
Durham UCU Committee is elected by the members of the UCU in Durham. Elections are held at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) for officers and other committee members. Between elections, committee is empowered to fill vacancies and to co-opt five additional members. Branch Rules allow for a sufficient number of committee members that there are, in pracice, always committee vacancies, as well as any Officer vacancies listed below.
Committee works with departmental reps to represent members in negotiations, policy consultation, health and safety oversight, and casework support as needed. A list of current departmental reps is available on Godric.
Committee members can take on specific responsibilities or serve without portfolio.
